Our Process: Our process focuses on finding hidden mold and moisture concerns and educating people about them.
Interview and Initial Walkthrough
- The collection of information about the property focused on water intrusions, plumbing malfunctions, or other sources of elevated moisture.
Inspection for Moisture and Mold
• The technician investigates the home for evidence of water intrusion or elevated moisture. Thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, and hygrometers are used to collect measurements.
• A high-lumen LED flashlight and thorough inspection are our most valuable tools.
Sample Collection
• Air and surface samples are collected from areas of concern. Rather than collecting ambient air samples from the center of a room, we focus our sampling near water-damaged areas. For instance, a sample collected from beneath the kitchen sink base cabinet will be more informative than one collected from the kitchen air alone.
Sample Interpretation and Analysis
• Samples are submitted to an AIHA-accredited laboratory for microscopic analysis. Results are typically available the following business day.
Report and Remediation Protocol
• We prepare a detailed report that analyzes the results from the laboratory analysis and provides detailed recommendations for remediation.
